DOA POLICY
- Customer satisfaction is our priority. We make sure our corals and fish travel in the best possible condition, but we understand anything can happen regardless of all the procedures we have in place. Although it does not happen often, if any of our livestock arrive DOA (Dead on Arrival), please follow the instructions below. Your time and cooperation following these instructions is greatly appreciated.
DOA Claim Procedure
- Please send an email within two hours of the package arrival, to sales@ckomarine.com and include the following:
- If any of our livestock is received DOA (Dead on Arrival), you will be issued store credit. First, we must receive a one minute video of the fish dry on a white paper, out of the water. Video of dead fish inside the water will not be accepted.
- Written description of how livestock was found
- Written description of Shipping Carrier Box Condition
- Clear picture of all DOA livestock inside unopened Fluorescent Reef bag
- Picture of Shipping Carrier Box Condition
- The amount we spent on shipping will be deducted from the amount of the store credit. If the dead fish was purchased using store credit we will not issue another credit. We will issue credit for the purchase amount that was paid.
- We pack fish with sufficient amount of oxygen and water that will be good for 48 hours. If the buyer refuses the shipment upon delivery the livestock will not make it back to us within the 48 hours which means it will die and you will not receive any refund. If a box has a leak, it is normal, and you should still accept the delivery and proceed to acclimate the fish and make every effort to save it.
- We will not accept any returns or issue refunds for Corals and Invertebrates.
- Shipping will always be Next Day Air, and overnight via UPS. Normally the carrier arrives on time. However, if there happens to be a delay we are not responsible for the death of the specimen. Keep this in mind when placing orders during the holiday season as most shipping carriers become unreliable.
